DentFix DF-17 Weld Breaker – Made in Germany – Don’t use any other tool than this German made, German steel Weld breaker to separate freshly drilled panels. Use when spot welds are not completely detached because of sealant, bonding glue or drill through debris. This specialty tool will cut through to free the panel easily and cleanly without causing more damage. Simply tap with a hammer to insert and then tap on the side to cut through and free the panel. The weld breaker is sharpened on both the leading and side edge. Easy to re-sharpen when dulled.

Grade A Tools Shunting pliers clamp for resistance spot welding and grounding, Rating. The shunting pliers creates a path of least resistance to complete the grounding of the adjoining panels to help create a strong and more complete weld nugget. Keep your work looking and performing to OEM standards, Shunting pliers are an I-CAR requirement when performing resistance spot welding and when performing weld bonding. The pliers are 6” and are rated at 150-amp part# GAT-SHP-100. pliers are equipped with 20mm swivel ground Contact pads with non-conductive washer insulating the pliers.

Dentfix DF-900PF Self Locking Alu Pin Finger
DentFix DF-900PF Self Locking Alu Pin Finger – an innovative pull finger that attaches to a welded pin for dent pulls on automotive aluminum panels. Simply slide the pull finger over the stud to engage. The slide finger will hold onto the stud until it is disengaged by pressing the release lever. Dent Fix pull fingers are quicker to attach and disengage than screw-on type pull fingers.
Attach a pull devices to the fingers for a reliable and sturdy pull. For crease pulls, multiple pull fingers can be used together when attached to welded studs in a row. A bar can then be fed through the pull finger eyelet and attached to a bridge puller.
Dent Fixs Pull Finger, when used with Dent Fix Alu-Studs DF-900PS and DF-900PM, is also adjustable. Due to the extra length of the Alu-Stud pin, the pull finger can slide up or down the pin if an adjustment needs to be made mid-pull. This adjustment feature is not available when using screw-on fingers.

Saves E-Coat on the mating surfacesSqueeze-type resistance spot welding (STRSW) sometimes requires additional measures, in the form of shunting the current flow, to create a successful spot weld. Conductive coatings on steel, such as zinc or weld-through primer increase the resistance but a successful weld can be accomplished. Non-conductive coatings on steel, such as E-Coat (a corrosion-resistant primer applied to parts by the manufacturer) inhibit the completion of the spot weld. The E-Coat on the mating surfaces can be saved when using STRSW with the use of the Dent Fix Shunting Pliers (DF-SP360).
Simply remove the coating from only the outside surfaces, position the shunting clamp at the spot weld site, and the spot weld is made at the adjacent site. The current chooses the path of least resistance when confronting the non-conductive E-Coat, the shunting pliers facilitates the electrical current from one side to the other. The E-coat at the mating surface burns away.
